ECPC and DEC share a unique partnership!
The missions of both ECPC and DEC support development of personnel preparation systems at the inservice and preservice level. One of the most significant outcomes of this partnership over the last four years is the development of the Initial Practice-Based Professional Preparation Standards for Early Interventionists/Early Childhood Special Educators (EI/ECSE) (Initial birth through age 8).
ECPC supported the EI/ECSE Standards Development Task Force with expert staff to facilitate the process alongside the task force chair and DEC Executive Office. ECPC also provided travel support for task force members. The EI/ECSE Standards are a historic forward movement for EI/ECSE personnel preparation.
ECPC hosts a number of resources to support use of the new EI/ECSE standards at the inservice level and in the work of state CSPDs. Check out the full suite of ECPC resources at ecpcta.org
