Call for Input: DEC Recommended Practices - Race and Ability

The DEC Recommended Practices (DEC RPs) are a tool for the purpose of offering guidance to professionals who have or are currently working with children who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. 

We are reviewing the DEC RP's with a focus on race and ability to explore their effectiveness and how they can be improved to address the needs of all children and their families across race and levels of ability. We know they currently do not, and for our process of review and change, we need your input.

Thank you for completing this survey to offer your wisdom as a family member of a child receiving developmental and/or educational services and supports or a practitioner currently serving children 0-5. There are no right or wrong answers. What is vitally important is that you speak openly and honestly, and share what you know from your lived experience.
