Power to the Profession - Decision Cycle 1 - DEC input needed!

Dear DEC members,

As you know DEC is honored to be one of the organizations working alongside NAEYC on the Power to the Profession initiative. DEC is one of 15 national organizations who represent and engage with large groups of early childhood professionals that make up the core task force.

As a part of our joint work, we (DEC members) will be asked to respond during each of 8 decision cycles over the course of the two year initiative in specific ways.

For this first decision cycle, we ask the following actions:

1. Read the letter from Rhian Evans Allvin, NAEYC CEO

2. Go to: http://www.naeyc.org/profession/decision-cycles

3. Read the current Working Draft for Decision Cycle 1

4. Provide public comment and feedback on Working Draft 1

5. If you are not familiar with the Power to the Profession initiative please go to http://naeyc.org/profession to be more fully informed on the initiative before responding to the survey.

6. Contact Peggy Kemp at peggy@dec-sped.org if you have questions.
